Welcome!

Hello!

My name is Amelia Robertson, and it is my privilege to share with you the word of God through devotions, poems, and other writings.

Since I was young, I have felt God calling me to serve him by sharing his truth. I wanted to start a blog and online business from home but never knew where to start until now.

I decided to trust God and take the leap of faith to create Homemakers Cornerstone.
This is a place where I can share my devotions, thoughts, and homemaking.

I plan to share tips on homemaking and products that have helped make my life as a housewife easier.

My goal is to reach other people with God’s word using my everyday life experiences.

I am a sinner who loves God, and I just want to share all the ways he makes himself known in my life, so that I can help others as he has helped me.

The Lord has blessed me with many interests to use in his ministry, and I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you who takes an interest in Homemakers Cornerstone.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you enjoy the content that has been provided. Have a blessed day!

Sincerely,
Amelia Robertson

How Did Homemakers Cornerstone Get Its Name?

A homemaker is someone who cares for the home and puts the needs of those living in it first.

A cornerstone is a base from which a house is built. It provides a starting point for a stable foundation and stability for everything it holds.

I am a homemaker, and Jesus is the cornerstone of my life, beliefs, marriage, home, and purpose. The walls are joined together by the cornerstone; I am joined together with God and my husband through Jesus Christ.

Although, they are only two words they both carry many meanings and sum up the center of my life. God is my homemaker, and his only son Jesus is my cornerstone.

“As you come to him, the living stone rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him. You also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For in the scripture it says: “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.”
Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe, “The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,”
1 Peter 2: 4-7, NIV

Seen by God in the Small Things“Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.” Proverbs 31:31 NIVYesterday I washed the dishes, dusted the furniture, vacuumed the floors, did the laundry, scrubbed the bathroom, and put away the odds and ends that always seem to pile up.Some might raise an eyebrow at doing all of that in one day. But while I worked, God placed something on my heart that I haven’t been able to shake:How beautiful is it that my calling is to care for the ones I love?God entrusted me with the sacred responsibility of creating a safe haven here on earth, a refuge from the outside world. No one should ever dread giving their loved ones clean clothes to wear, a hot meal to eat, or a clean bed to sleep in. What a gift it is to serve in these quiet ways.Even if your spouse doesn’t notice the dishes neatly stacked in the cabinet…Even if no one comments on the fresh toilet paper roll…Even if the dusted ceiling fan goes unseen…God notices. Each day is made up of tiny moments. And it’s those tiny moments that build a faithful life.Fold the towels and thank God for the hands that will use them. Wash the dishes and thank Him for the meal that filled empty stomachs. Sweep the floor and thank Him for the shelter over your head. It’s not how much you do, it’s the spirit you carry while doing it.Somewhere, someone is praying for the very life you have right now.And when you’re exhausted? When you don’t feel like doing one more chore? Remember what Jesus endured on the cross. He carried every sin, every sorrow, every burden, willingly, out of love for you.Don’t complain.Pick up the dirty clothes, Jesus picked up the cross.Wash the dishes, Jesus washed away our sins.Open the windows and open your heart to Him again. My lifelong prayer is to become a Proverbs 31 woman, not in perfection, but in faithfulness. A woman who works with eager hands, speaks with wisdom, fears the Lord, and serves her household with strength and dignity.Chores are not chains. They are opportunities to worship. And even when no one else sees what you do, God does.Ask yourself…1. How can I shift my attitude about daily chores from obligation to gratitude?2. In what small ways can I intentionally invite God into my homemaking this week?3. Am I seeking recognition from others, or resting in being seen by God?Lord,Thank You for the gift of my home and the people within it. Forgive me for the moments I complain or grow weary in serving. Help me see my daily tasks as holy work, opportunities to love well and reflect Your heart. Give me strength when I feel tired, gratitude when I feel overlooked, and joy in the small, unseen moments. Shape me into a woman who fears You above all else. Let my hands serve faithfully, my words speak wisdom, and my heart remain soft before You. May my home be a place of peace, safety, and love, all for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.#Proverbs31Woman #ChristianHomemaker#FaithfulInTheSmallThings #BiblicalWomanhood#HomemakingWithPurpose#ChristianDevotional #ServeWithJoy #GodSeesYou #HomeAsMinistry #WomenOfFaith See MoreSee Less

When it's been above 60 degrees for 2 days in a row and your husband sends you to the grocery store by yourself 😁🌷🫑🌻Who else is excited to plant some seeds soon?"And God said, “Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, on the earth.” And it was so. The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed according to their own kinds, and trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. Great tips!Tips on drying laundry from a mom who ditched her dryer 3 years ago 🧺Line drying isn’t aesthetic for me. It’s practical. And no — your clothes shouldn’t be crunchy. Here’s my advice on line drying your laundry:• You’re using too much detergent.Air drying exposes residue that a machine dryer hides. Less really is more.• Skip the fabric softener and scent beads. They coat your clothes and can make them stiff. Clean fabric doesn’t need artificial fragrance to prove it’s clean.• You don’t need sunshine or warm weather.Clothes dry in winter too. Sublimation happens even in below-freezing temps. I’ve hung up jeans that froze solid within minutes of hanging, but after some time they essentially freeze dry. • Don’t hang from elastic waistbands. It stretches them out faster. Clip from seams, pants by the legs, or areas with thicker fabric. • In summer, hang in the shade or turn clothes inside out.Direct sun can fade colors.• But if you’ve got stubborn stains?Sunshine is one of the best stain removers I’ve ever used.A clothesline isn’t primitive. It’s quiet. It’s practical. It saves money. And it keeps one more appliance from running in my house.Do you line dry at all or is this your sign to try it this year?#homesteadlife #ecofriendlyliving #laundrytips #homesteadinglife #homesteader #homesteadmama #clothesline #ecofriendlyhome See MoreSee Less

A Time for Every Season: Finding Hope After Winter“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”Ecclesiastes 3:1 NIVAll winter long, I’ve waited for spring.Last night, I stepped out onto my porch and heard the frogs peeping for the first time this year. It’s one of my favorite parts of country life; the sound of God’s orchestra playing right outside my windows. That tiny chorus feels like a promise: winter doesn’t last forever.Scripture reminds us in the Book of Ecclesiastes 3:1 that there is a time for everything. A season for every activity under heaven. A season for blooming… and a season for barrenness. A season for rejoicing… and a season for enduring. The troubles we face can feel like a long, cold winter, dark, heavy, and still. But God’s grace is like the warmth of spring. His love gently thaws what has grown cold in our hearts. What once felt lifeless begins to soften. What seemed barren becomes fertile ground for new growth.Winter has a purpose. It strengthens roots. It clears away what cannot survive. And when spring comes, the growth is deeper and stronger than before. If you’re in a winter season right now, don’t lose heart. The frogs will sing again. The sun will feel warm again. God is already preparing your spring.Open your heart to Him. Give Him your troubles to thaw. Trust that He is working beneath the surface, even when everything looks still. There is a time for everything and your season of renewal will come.Ask yourself…1. What has this season been teaching you?2. Is there something in your heart that feels cold or hardened?3. What would it look like to surrender that area to God today?4. Where have you seen small signs of “spring” beginning in your life?Heavenly Father,Thank You for being Lord over every season of my life. When I feel stuck in winter, remind me that You are still working beneath the surface. Soften the places in my heart that have grown cold from hurt, disappointment, or fear. Help me trust that this season has purpose. Give me patience to endure and faith to believe that spring is coming. Thaw my worries with Your grace. Plant new growth where there once was discouragement. And teach me to listen for Your gentle reminders of hope; like frogs singing in the night. In Jesus’ name,Amen.#ChristianDevotional #Ecclesiastes#SeasonOfLife #FaithInHardTimes#HopeAfterWinter #GodsTiming#SpringRenewal #CountryLivingFaith#HomemakersCornerstone #TrustGod See MoreSee Less

One of the nicest surprises since starting this business page has been the other businesses and creators. What I’ve learned is this: when you step out in faith and start building something, God often sends people who are building too. There are so many beautiful pages that brighten my day with their encouragement, creativity, and heart. I’m so thankful for the way we support one another, liking, sharing, cheering each other on from behind the scenes. I don't always see every post but today I want to highlight and recommend a few of my favorites pages.
