Welcome!

Hello!

My name is Amelia Robertson, and it is my privilege to share with you the word of God through devotions, poems, and other writings.

Since I was young, I have felt God calling me to serve him by sharing his truth. I wanted to start a blog and online business from home but never knew where to start until now.

I decided to trust God and take the leap of faith to create Homemakers Cornerstone.
This is a place where I can share my devotions, thoughts, and homemaking.

I plan to share tips on homemaking and products that have helped make my life as a housewife easier.

My goal is to reach other people with God’s word using my everyday life experiences.

I am a sinner who loves God, and I just want to share all the ways he makes himself known in my life, so that I can help others as he has helped me.

The Lord has blessed me with many interests to use in his ministry, and I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you who takes an interest in Homemakers Cornerstone.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you enjoy the content that has been provided. Have a blessed day!

Sincerely,
Amelia Robertson

How Did Homemakers Cornerstone Get Its Name?

A homemaker is someone who cares for the home and puts the needs of those living in it first.

A cornerstone is a base from which a house is built. It provides a starting point for a stable foundation and stability for everything it holds.

I am a homemaker, and Jesus is the cornerstone of my life, beliefs, marriage, home, and purpose. The walls are joined together by the cornerstone; I am joined together with God and my husband through Jesus Christ.

Although, they are only two words they both carry many meanings and sum up the center of my life. God is my homemaker, and his only son Jesus is my cornerstone.

“As you come to him, the living stone rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him. You also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For in the scripture it says: “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.”
Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe, “The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,”
1 Peter 2: 4-7, NIV

Repotted Faith"Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation."1 Peter 2:2 ESVThe other day I looked over at the peace lily I’ve had for nearly a decade. It has been with me through many seasons of life. As I studied the plant, I realized something — it probably needed a bigger pot and fresh soil so it would have more room to grow.In that moment, a thought struck me.We are a lot like plants that occasionally need to be repotted. When a plant stays too long in the same container, its roots eventually hit the sides of the pot. There’s nowhere left to grow. The soil becomes depleted of nutrients, and the plant begins to struggle. Even though it’s alive, it isn’t thriving.Sometimes our faith can look like that.As Christians, we are meant to grow. Our relationship with God is meant to deepen, stretch, and mature over time. Just like a plant needs water, sunlight, and fresh soil, our faith needs daily nourishment through God’s Word, prayer, and time in His presence. When we feed our faith, our roots grow deeper. But growth often means change. As we grow spiritually, we may find that we outgrow certain environments, habits, or even relationships. Sometimes the “pots” we once lived in no longer give us room to grow closer to Christ. It might be a group of friends that pull us away from our walk with God, a job that leaves no room for Him in our lives, or habits that quietly drain our spiritual strength. If we ignore that need for growth, we can remain spiritually cramped — stuck in the same place year after year. Our roots circle the same ground, but we never stretch deeper.God doesn’t want us to live root-bound lives. He invites us into continual growth. When we open our Bibles, spend time in prayer, and invite Him into the ordinary moments of our day, He refreshes our soil. He gives us space to stretch our roots deeper into His truth and grow stronger in faith.Don’t settle for staying where you are when God is inviting you to grow.Let Him repot your faith.Fresh soil.More room.Deeper roots.Greater growth.Reflection Questions:1. Are there areas in my life where my faith has stopped growing?2. What habits help nourish my relationship with God daily?3. Are there environments, influences, or relationships that might be limiting my spiritual growth?4. What step can I take this week to deepen my time with God?Dear Lord, Thank You for caring about our growth. Just as a gardener tends to his plants, You lovingly tend to our hearts. When we become comfortable or stagnant, gently remind us that You have more for us.Give us a hunger for Your Word and a desire to spend time in Your presence each day. Help us recognize when we have outgrown things that pull us away from You, and give us the courage to follow where You lead.Refresh our hearts like new soil.Strengthen our roots in Your truth.Help our faith grow deeper and stronger in every season. In Jesus’ name, amen.#ChristianDevotional #FaithGrowth #RootedInChrist #GrowInFaith#ChristianEncouragement #BibleReflection#FaithJourney #DailyWithGod #ChristianLiving#RootedInFaith #TrustGod #FaithOverFear See MoreSee Less

Come Just As You Are“All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.”John 6:37 ESVOne of the things I love most about Jesus is that He does not wait for us to have our lives together before welcoming us. He does not ask us to clean ourselves up first or prove that we are worthy. He simply invites us to come.Wherever you are today—whether your heart is full of joy or heavy with sorrow—Jesus is not turning you away.Sometimes we think we need to fix ourselves before we approach God. We imagine that if we could just overcome our failures, quiet our doubts, or become “better people,” then maybe we could come to Him. But that’s not how His love works.Jesus meets us right where we are.Often it is in our lowest moments that we finally cry out to God. When our strength is gone, when our plans have failed, when the noise of life quiets enough for us to hear the ache in our soul—we reach for Him. And when we do, we discover something beautiful: He has been waiting for us all along. You do not need the perfect words to pray. You do not need a perfect life to approach Him.You do not even need to know exactly what to say.All He asks is that you come.Maybe you feel ashamed of your past. Maybe you carry regrets that seem too heavy to bring before God. Maybe you think your mistakes have placed you too far away from Him.But Scripture reminds us that when we come to Christ, He does not reject us. He does not shame us. He does not remind us of every failure.Instead, He offers mercy.Though our sins stain us like scarlet, He washes us white as snow. He replaces guilt with forgiveness, fear with peace, and wandering with a place to belong.Jesus does not care about your bank account, your status, the car you drive, or the mistakes behind you. He is not measuring your worth by the world’s standards. He simply wants you to come home. And when you do, you will discover that the peace your heart has been searching for was never meant to be found in circumstances, possessions, or approval from others. It is found in Him.So today, if your heart feels tired, broken, or restless, remember this: you are not too far gone, and it is not too late.Come just as you are.Reflection Questions:1. Is there something in your life that has made you feel unworthy to come to God?2. What would it look like to bring that burden honestly before Jesus today?3.How might your life change if you truly believed that Christ will never turn you away?Lord Jesus,Thank You for loving me even when I feel unworthy. Thank You for welcoming me when my heart is heavy and my life feels messy. Help me remember that I do not need to be perfect to come to You. Wash away my guilt and shame, and replace them with Your forgiveness and peace. Teach me to rest in Your grace and trust in Your unfailing love. Draw me closer to You today, and remind my heart that I always have a home in You.In Jesus' name, amen.#ChristianDevotional #FaithAndHope #ComeToJesus #GodsGrace #PeaceInChrist#JesusSaves #FaithOverFear#ChristianEncouragement #RestInGod #HopeInJesus See MoreSee Less

When people say you have a coffee problem but you know you don't because the coffee maker broke and instead of panicking you grab the black Friday spare out of the closet 😉Doesn't look like a problem to me! ☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️New homemaking proverb… "buy the new coffee maker before the current one dies."#coffeelovers #coffeeaddict #homemakingtips #homemakerscornerstone See MoreSee Less
