Welcome!

Hello!

My name is Amelia Robertson, and it is my privilege to share with you the word of God through devotions, poems, and other writings.

Since I was young, I have felt God calling me to serve him by sharing his truth. I wanted to start a blog and online business from home but never knew where to start until now.

I decided to trust God and take the leap of faith to create Homemakers Cornerstone.
This is a place where I can share my devotions, thoughts, and homemaking.

I plan to share tips on homemaking and products that have helped make my life as a housewife easier.

My goal is to reach other people with God’s word using my everyday life experiences.

I am a sinner who loves God, and I just want to share all the ways he makes himself known in my life, so that I can help others as he has helped me.

The Lord has blessed me with many interests to use in his ministry, and I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you who takes an interest in Homemakers Cornerstone.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you enjoy the content that has been provided. Have a blessed day!

Sincerely,
Amelia Robertson

How Did Homemakers Cornerstone Get Its Name?

A homemaker is someone who cares for the home and puts the needs of those living in it first.

A cornerstone is a base from which a house is built. It provides a starting point for a stable foundation and stability for everything it holds.

I am a homemaker, and Jesus is the cornerstone of my life, beliefs, marriage, home, and purpose. The walls are joined together by the cornerstone; I am joined together with God and my husband through Jesus Christ.

Although, they are only two words they both carry many meanings and sum up the center of my life. God is my homemaker, and his only son Jesus is my cornerstone.

“As you come to him, the living stone rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him. You also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For in the scripture it says: “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.”
Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe, “The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,”
1 Peter 2: 4-7, NIV

When You’ve Done All You Can“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6 NIVLately, life has felt heavy. The past several days I’ve struggled just to walk because of a herniated disc. Simple things that most people never think twice about—standing up, taking a few steps, getting comfortable enough to sleep—have suddenly become difficult. At the same time, I’ve been pouring my heart into building my online store, trying to create something meaningful, only to run into problem after problem that I can’t seem to fix.If I’m honest, I’ve felt defeated. Not the dramatic kind of defeated. The quiet kind. The kind where you sit in silence staring at a screen that still isn’t working, while your body aches and your mind keeps asking, “Lord, why does everything feel so hard right now?”I think many of us know what it feels like to carry burdens we cannot control. We try harder. We push more. We search for answers. We hold tighter. But eventually we reach a moment where our strength runs out. And maybe that’s exactly where God begins reminding us that we were never meant to carry everything alone. So often we think trusting God means feeling confident all the time. But real trust is choosing to believe He is still good even when life feels uncertain. It’s surrendering the outcome when things are not going according to our plans. It’s saying, “Lord, I don’t understand this season, but I know You are still with me in it.”Some of the deepest faith is formed in moments when we feel weak, frustrated, and weary. Not because suffering is easy, but because hardship teaches us to depend on God in ways comfort never could.Maybe today you feel exhausted too. Maybe you’re carrying pain no one sees. Maybe you feel discouraged because the prayers haven’t been answered yet.But take heart: God is not absent in your struggle. He sees every tear, every setback, every painful step forward. And even when you feel like you’re falling apart, He is still holding you together. You do not have to have everything figured out today. You do not have to carry tomorrow’s weight today. You simply have to take the next step with God.And sometimes faith looks less like conquering the mountain and more like quietly whispering, “Lord, help me trust You one more day.”Reflection Questions1. What burden have I been trying to carry on my own?2. In what area of my life do I need to surrender control to God?3. How can I choose trust even before I see the outcome?Lord, I confess that sometimes I feel overwhelmed and defeated. When life feels heavy and my strength is gone, help me remember that I was never meant to carry everything alone. Teach me to surrender my worries, my plans, and my fears into Your hands. Give me peace in the waiting, strength for today, and faith for tomorrow. Remind me that even in weakness, You are near. Thank You for walking beside me through every difficult season. Good Morning!A tidy space won’t fix everything—but it can bring a little calm into a busy heart.Today I choose gentle order, not pressure.Challenge yourself today to declutter one area of your life. Delete random messages or pictures you don't need on your phone, clear off the kitchen counter or table, fold and put away laundry from the dryer. You don’t have to do everything at one time just clear some clutter that clutters your mind so you can have more time thinking about God ❤️🙏#CalmHome #MorningIntentions #HomemakingWithPurpose #FaithAndHome #SimpleJoy See MoreSee Less
