Worry, we all do it. Some more than others and it can become debilitating and interfere with everyday life. But did you know that worrying is a sin? The opposite of worry in the Bible is faith and trust. If you worry then you’re not trusting God to handle the situation and your faith is not in him. The Bible says to cast your cares on him because he cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Like Paul we must learn to be content in the situations we’re in so that anxiety doesn’t take over our lives and we trust God instead of our own minds.
I say this because I have struggled with worry recently and I don’t want to give it a room in my mind. It will add nothing to my life and only take life away.
Dear heavenly Father, I pray that anyone who suffers from worry and anxiety will be uplifted in your presence and that you will cast it out of them in the name of Jesus and give them peace in it’s place. Amen ![]()
