Yesterday me and Bj (my beagle) walked to the creek to throw his ball around. The grass crunched beneath my feet and the low water in the creek made me think about the local news and how all of southwest Virginia was in a drought.
I watched the ripples in the water as Bj splashed around to cool off and started thinking about the book of Leviticus and God’s blessings for obedience and curses for disobedience.
I checked my weather app and saw that it was going to rain all day today and tomorrow. It made me think that we must be doing something right for God to send his rain. After all we definitely need it.
Some days might look dark and gloomy but it’s the rain that brings growth to allow new beginnings to emerge. We need the storms in our lives to make us grow. After all Bj can’t have fun sunny days in the creek without first experiencing the rain.
If your life feels like a constant storm is stirring keep the faith and be obedient to God because the rain is about to make you grow in ways you couldn’t have ever imagined.
