I feel like I’ve been behind on everything for the past month. Between Christmas, being sick for the two weeks after Christmas, and trying to get caught up on house work and my blog. It’s been exhausting and I have felt very weak in all areas of my life.
I started thinking about weakness and how Paul said in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (NIV), “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
Paul was talking about how spiritual strength is found in our weakness. When we are weak, He(God) is strong!
If we could do everything ourselves we wouldn’t need Jesus. If we could accomplish every task alone we would not ask God for help. To fully exercise our faith we need to be weak and humble ourselves before the Lord.
If you are feeling weak and defeated don’t fret, just look up
You cannot accomplish everything on your own but if you let God take control you’ll get done more than you know.
The thorns God puts in us are not to hurt us but to guide us where we need to go and keep us focused on the task at hand.
