There is something special about sitting quietly with the Lord before the world becomes loud.
The warmth of coffee in your hands.
The sound of birds singing in the distance.
The mountains standing still beneath the morning sky.
And the Word of God resting open in front of you.
Moments like these remind us that God was never meant to be rushed through.
Sometimes we spend so much time trying to keep up with life that we forget how healing it is to simply sit in His presence. Not striving. Not performing. Just resting with Him.
Creation itself points back to the Creator. The wind through the trees, the songs of birds, the beauty of the mountains—all of it whispers reminders of His goodness and faithfulness.
And somehow, in those quiet moments alone with Him, heaven does not feel so far away.
Reflection Questions:
1. When was the last time you truly slowed down and spent quiet time with God?
2. What distractions keep you from resting in His presence?
3. How does creation remind you of God’s goodness?
Dear Lord, thank You for the quiet moments where I can simply be with You. Help me slow down enough to hear Your voice above the noise of life. Let my heart find peace in Your presence and remind me daily that Your love endures forever. Thank You for the beauty of creation that points back to You. Draw me closer to You each day. In Jesus name, Amen.
