As seasons change, our bodies change too.
There is no shame in seeking help.
There is no lack of faith in taking care of the body God entrusted to you.
Covering a plant before a frost isn’t a rejection of God’s protection. It’s using the wisdom and resources He has already provided.
Likewise, going to the doctor, taking prescribed medication, exercising, eating well, or making healthy changes isn’t working against God. It can be an act of stewardship.
God’s Word is medicine for our spirit.
Prayer strengthens our hearts.
Wisdom guides our decisions.
And sometimes healing comes through the very tools God has placed within our reach.
That evening, I was reminded of a simple truth:
God already knows every question in our hearts.
He isn’t offended by our struggles.
He invites us to bring them to Him.
Jesus said:
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” — Matthew 7:7
When we don’t understand, we can ask.
When we need direction, we can seek.
When we need wisdom, we can knock.
And through it all, we can trust that God is faithful to guide us.
My spirit has been healed through Christ.
My body may still experience pain, weakness, and the effects of living in a fallen world, but that pain does not define me.
Instead, it reminds me daily to lean on God, seek His wisdom, and use the gifts He has already provided.
Sometimes faith isn’t waiting for a miracle.
Sometimes faith is gratefully using the tools God has placed in our hands.
Reflection Questions:
1. Have you ever struggled with asking God “why” during a difficult season?
2. Are there resources or help God has provided that you’ve been hesitant to use?
3. How can you better care for both your spiritual and physical well-being this week?
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for caring about every part of my life—my spirit, my mind, and my body. When I face pain, uncertainty, or questions, help me seek Your wisdom rather than relying on fear or misunderstanding. Give me the humility to use the resources You have provided and the faith to trust You through every season. Remind me that You are with me in both miraculous healing and everyday provision.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
