Yesterday as I was walking Mabel we stumbled upon this Great Blue Heron. It was standing on the icy creek and looked like it had been sticking its beak in the water. As it watched us it gracefully walk on the ice before flying off to the other side of the water. I was thinking about how cold the ice was on its feet and how cold the water would be trying to catch fish, the more I thought about it the colder I felt. Then I remembered Matthew 6:26, “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.”
God made them to handle the cold weather better than me and he provided the creek and the fish for that one bird.
Next time things seem cold ask yourself what has God given me to get through this situation?
How much more has God provided for you?
Are you not worth more than they?
