This ventless propane heater is ideal for heating big spaces without electricity. The Mr. Heater F299730 blue flame heater mounts easily on the wall and delivers steady warmth. Perfect for winter storms, off-grid living, or just everyday heating all winter long.
My Husband and I have used this heater for almost 8 years and it saves us a lot of money on our electric bill. When the power goes out we don’t have to worry about being without heat. Our home is just under 700 sqft and heats the whole thing (with the exception of a small electric heater we use in the bathroom).
We have two 100 gallon tanks my husband refills. When they are empty we use the small tank from our outdoor grill while he takes the big tanks. Above 30 degrees one 100 gallon tank lasts us 6 weeks. Under 30 degrees, 2-3 weeks.

- It has a low-oxygen safety shutoff.
Things I’ve Learned
- When the heater starts smelling bad that means the tank is almost empty and needs to be changed.
- Don’t use WD40 in the house when the heater is in use! WD 40 is petroleum based and the fumes can be pulled into the gas heater creating a kerosene/chemical odor. This is not safe, it creates toxic fumes and is flammable. If this happens turn off the gas heater and ventilate the area. We have had this happen with wood stain too.
