Lights Out, Faith On

"You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace, the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands". Isaiah 55:12 NIV

The power went out while dinner was cooking and all the sudden we were without a meal. The air conditioning went off withholding the cold air that was pouring out moments before and at the same time the TV cut off taking our attention away from the thin black box that covers the wall. One might say this is a bad night! Nothing ever goes right! What did I do to deserve this?!

As time went on the sun started to set and the night time critters started to crawl out and sing their songs. The moon rose high as the sun disappeared leaving Nothing but the stars to shine.

How beautiful it is to be taken back to what’s simple and pleasing to the soul. The candles cast a soft glow around the room and the heat lighting lights up the mountain top for a few seconds. The cool night air slips through the door with the smell of fresh dew accumulating on the grass.

It is not money that makes a person rich but the moments they richly enjoy sent by God.

Turn off the TV, set the phone down, and enjoy the simple things outside your windows which could only come from God.

“Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let the sea resound, and all that is in it. Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them; let all the trees of the forest sing for joy”.
Psalm 96:11-12 NIV
