“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”
— Proverbs 3:5–6 (ESV)

There are seasons in life when everything feels heavy, when decisions feel unclear, prayers feel unanswered, and the path ahead seems blocked. In those moments, it’s easy to rely on our own reasoning, trying to figure out how to fix what feels broken. But God invites us to a different response: trust.
When the feeling of being stuck or overwhelmed sets in, Scripture reminds us to hand our troubles over to the Lord. Life has a way of knocking us down no matter how many times we get back up. Yet every moment that brings us to our knees is also an invitation to pray. There is more power in kneeling before God than standing alone against our problems.
God never asks us to understand everything, He asks us to trust Him. When things don’t make sense, we can lean on His wisdom rather than our limited perspective. As we acknowledge Him in every part of our lives, He promises to direct our steps. Relinquishing control isn’t a sign of weakness; it’s an act of faith.
Don’t choose to remain stuck when you serve a God who moves mountains. He is faithful to guide you forward, even when the way seems unclear.
Heavenly Father, I come before You feeling weary and uncertain, yet trusting that You see the full picture of my life. Help me to trust You with all my heart and not rely on my own understanding. When I feel overwhelmed, draw me to my knees in prayer instead of letting fear take control. Teach me to surrender every area of my life to You and to acknowledge You in all my ways. I believe that You are faithful to direct my steps and straighten my path. Thank You for being a God who moves mountains and leads me forward in love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
