When Life Feels Impossible: Have Faith in God

“But Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Matthew 19:26 ESV

Do you ever have days where everything feels impossible? Days when no matter how many steps you take forward, it feels like you’re somehow still moving backward? You pray, you try, you show up—and yet the weight doesn’t seem to lift.

You’re not alone in that feeling. We all have days like that.

Jesus never promised that life would be easy, but He did promise that we wouldn’t have to carry it alone. When He said that all things are possible with God, He wasn’t asking for perfect faith—just willing faith. Even faith as small as a mustard seed is enough when it’s placed in Him.

God specializes in making a way where there seems to be none. He becomes our strength when we’re worn down and our refuge when we’re overwhelmed. When we place our burdens in His hands, we give Him room to work in ways we couldn’t imagine on our own.

So today, breathe. Release what feels too heavy. Trust that God is already moving, even if you can’t see it yet.

Have faith. Trust Him. Believe.

Lord, Some days feel heavier than others, and right now I confess that there are things in my life that feel impossible. I’m tired, and I don’t always know the way forward. Help me to remember that nothing is impossible with You. Strengthen my faith, even when it feels small. Teach me to surrender my worries, my fears, and my struggles into Your hands. I trust that You are working, even when I can’t see it. Thank You for being my refuge, my strength, and my hope. In Jesus name, Amen.
